Dear participants of the FIA-GTC-TC,
We have managed it - at long last !!!
You can print out all the documents for the 2006 season in the download area of
our website. Please fill out the forms clearly in printed letters and fax these back
to me as soon as possible.
Please note:
Although I have signed all the contracts with each of the event organisers, not all
the dates have been confirmed by the FIA. This is only because some of the
ASNs have not informed the FIA of the planned dates unfortunately.
Regarding our first event of the 2006 season, the International Historic Grand
Prix “Jim Clark Revival” Hockenheimring 27. – 30. April 2006, I have once again
blocked several hotels for special rates. Please note that these hotels will be
published online on the Jim Clark website from 10. February 2006 onwards,
which means that each JCR-participant can also book out of this contingent. If
you wish to book a room, please definitely inform me before 10.02.2006 either
by fax or per email.
Important news regarding the JCR like the timetable, the special authorization
regarding the Sunday / holiday driving ban for trucks, the special regulations for
events, etc. will be placed online within the next few days.
Please be already informed that only cars built up to 1976 will be allowed to
drive in to the drivers paddock No. 1 of the Hockenheimring during the event. All
the other cars must park on the parking lot of the drivers paddock No. 2
(Querspange). This is of course valid for the competitors and the officials as well.
Exceptions will only be made for the trucks and the transport vehicles. Please
also note that the tents can only be dismantled on Sunday 30.04.2006 from
17.00 hours onwards. Due to organisation reasons, departure from the drivers
paddock is only possible from 18.00 hours onwards. (Attention: Monday is a
public holiday – 1. May).
I will inform you in my next information letter about the prize-giving ceremony of
the FIA-GTC-TC for 2005 (planned on Thursday evening – winter garden in the
Hockenheimring Hotel), the world record attempt for the Guinness Book of World
Records “the largest rolling automobile museum of the world” (Saturday evening,
only for cars built up to 1976) and about the Drivers paddock party (planned on
Friday evening in the Glass pavilion – Drivers paddock No. 1).
