Lettre de l´information 2003/12
Dear friends of the FiA-GTC and the FiA-TC
In my last information letter for 2003, I would like to start off with my heartiest congratulations again to all the Champions:
FiA-GTC Class E: O. Heschl-Gillespie (A) Jaguar E, Class F: Bo Warmenius (S) Lotus Elan, GTP A+B: Stefano Rosina (MC) Elva
FiA-TC Classes E+F: Claude Boissy (F) + Alain Miran (F) Austin Mini Cooper S, Class G: Günther Alth (A) BMW 2002
I also do not want to miss out thanking all participants of the 2003 Season for their participation. Then the spirit of the Historic Motorsports is not only supported by drivers who wish to win. Those who presented their wonderful cars and who just have fun enjoying themselves together with kindred souls during a great weekend, are just as important.
I would be very glad if all of you would participate again during the next season.
Thanks again to all the helpers who have been involved in taking care that the 2003 Season has been so successful:
the entire FiA Historic Motor Sport Commission (especially Jürgen Barth, who always conveyed my wishes for changes further on), the FiA-Secretariat in Geneva (Anne-Marie Guichon und Frederic Champlon, for whom I have caused a lot of paper work), our Technical Scrutineer Karl-Heinz Loibl (who has always conducted the necessary technical inspections in a friendly but strict manner), our course spokesman Dirk Johae (who has “spoken” for us in a very competent and professional manner), our entire Catering-Team headed by Gerda und Matthias (who have taken care of our needs excellently on the course), all sponsors in particular Dunlop Germany GmbH and Co KG Mr. Dieter Seibert, the company HEUREKA Mr. Klaus in der Wiesche, the company Munsch, all organisers and their helpers of the 2003 Season, and, and,.......
Unfortunately due to lack of participants, we could not organize a large Annual-Awardgiving this year. We will make up for this at one of our first events for the 2004 Season. Maybe we will be able to mobilize everybody to celebrate at the end of the year 2004. This would be really nice since I am of the opinion that an Annual- Awardgiving is an essential part of a great racing season.
The overall champions of the FiA-GTC and the FiA-TC will be honoured in Stockholm by the FiA. These champions will receive their invitations from the Chairman of the FiA Historic Motorsport Commission, Mr. Gunnar Elmgren.
2004 Season
Since yesterday, the calender for the 2004 racing season has been fixed (subject to FiA approval). As promised there will be a break of at least 3 weeks between each event with the exception of Donnington Park (GB) / Mondello Park (IRL). Here we will have 2 events within one week. For those travelling long distances, this could be turned onto a week-long holiday.

Mondello Park (IRL) 07.05. - 09.05.2004

Spa (B) 17.09. - 19.09.2004
Estoril (P) 08.10. - 10.10.2004
Since the FiA World Motor Sport Council only met up on 12.12.2004, I do not have all the changes made for the next year in writing as yet. The registered drivers of the FiA-GTC and the FiA-TC 2003 received an invoice concerning the „FiA-Registration-Fee“ from the FiA in November. Unfortunately the note that the “invoice paid by transfer” was not marked very clearly. (I had transferred the Registration Fee for the entrants to the FiA directly after receiving each Organisation Fee). Therefore the invoice was actually meant to be only as a receipt for the entrants. Should you have paid again to the FiA, you can either ask FiA for a reimbursement or let the 150,-- Euros be taken into account for the 2004 Season. I have already explained this to lots of callers over the phone. Thank you again for your understanding.
Since I will be on a lonely Caribbean island without phones, without mobile phones, without fax, without e-mails, without racing tracks (HELP!!) from 20.12.2003 – 06.01.2004, you will only be able to contact me from 07.01.2004 onwards.
I wish you and your families a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year.
Your
Ronny G. Bredhauer
