Lettre de l´information 2004/08

To all participants of the FIA-GTC`65, FIA-TC`65 and FIA-GTC-TC`76

• 1) Spa 17. – 19. 09. 2004

Attention! As already announced during our OGP Drivers’ Briefing at the Nürburgring, the races of the FIA-GTC’65, FIA-TC’65 and FIA-GTC-TC’76 will unfortunately have to be held together due to financial reasons. With an entry fee of 500,-- € or 350,-- € for the ’76 cars, at the moment it is not possible to finance and organise separate races for each group in Spa. The event organiser wishes for such a high guarantee sum so far in advance that we would have to run roughly about 120 cars in Spa. I could not take such a huge risk of giving this kind of a guarantee since at that we only had about 70 entries for our 3 Race Series.

Therefore instead of cancelling all, in the interests of all those who wish to participate in Spa, I have worked at a compromise –that means to join the 3 Race Series together whereby I have made especially sure that those participants who are starting in several series, will not lose points.

These will be as follows:

1st. Qualifying only FIA-GTC`65

2nd. Qualifying FIA-TC`65 plus FIA-GTC-TC`76

3rd. Qualifying FIA-GTC`65 plus FIA-TC`65

1st. Race only FIA-GTC`65

2nd. Race FIA-TC`65 plus FIA-GTC-TC`76

3rd. Race FIA-GTC`65 plus FIA-TC`65

Of course all series will be graded separately as usual. The FIA-TC`65 will receive points and trophies twice as well (in the addition this will be the same as in a One-Hour-Race) and trophies twice. Moreover we will have to change a few Starting Numbers in Spa because there might be clashes with the numbers for the FIA-GTC`65. Because of the now large starting grid, I wish to ask you all in advance for a fair behaviour, strict discipline and to be punctual for the drivers’ briefing, the Pre-start, etc. And please do make sure that you read the information (which will be constantly updated), hung out in our FIA-Welcome-Tent. Please note our enclosed timetable. The paddock will be opened on Thursday , 1 pm. The Signing-on (FIA-Welcome-Tent) and the Scrutineering is on Thursday from 4 – 9 pm and on Friday from 8 am onwards. The Drivers’ Briefing is on Friday at 10:15 am and at 14:25 hours (Briefing room).

• 2) Estoril 08. – 10. 10. 2004

In case you have not put in your entry for our last race for the 2004 Season, please send me a short note either per Email or fax if you are participating or not so that we can complete our planning for Estoril.

Please take note of the closing dates for the “blocked” flights and hotels. Moreover I must know until 10.09.2004 as to who wishes to take part at the Event Organiser’s „Welcome Dinner“ (Cocktail, Dinner and Show) on Saturday evening in the Estoril Casino (35.--€ per person) and with the exact number of persons attending. The participants of last year were all very enthusiastic.

• 3) FIA-Merchandising-Set

At long last the “FIA Merchanding Sets” are ready and will be sent out either per Post or DHL from 7th. September onwards.

I am looking forward to seeing all of you in Spa.

Your Ronny G. Bredhauer
