Provisional Racecalender FIA-GTC-TC 2006

Dear friends of the FiA-GTC-TC,

I hope that at the moment you are using all your “race-free” time to prepare your “darling” excellently again for the racing season of 2006.

So that you can prepare yourself emotionally and morally for the next season, you will now receive the first provisional racing calendar for 2006. These dates must first be confirmed by the FIA before they are official.

16.-18. June 2006 Mizano (I) historic Event

22.-24. Sept 2006 Nürburgring (D) Nürburgring Classic

29.09.-01.10.2006 Spa (B) 6 Hours Spa

!!! Attention: Subject to changes !!!

You all received my email on 8th. Nov. 2005 regarding the trip to Cape Town “Wine and Dine Week” from 05.-13.02.2006, which I am organising. I hereby wish to remind you that our hotel booking option will run out next week. Therefore whoever wishes to participate, should send me an email as soon as possible.

For those of you for whom just relaxing in South Africa is too tame, we are also offering more options:

Just take your racing car along and participate in two exciting historic races in South Africa.

A group consisting of Jan Willem de la Porte, Ad Verkuijlen and Ton van Helden

( FiA-GTC’ 65, Shelby 350 GT ) is making you the following offer:

1st. racing event: 03.-05.02.2006 Zwartkops (Johannesburg, SA)

2nd. racing event: 09.-12.02.2006 Killarney (Cape Town, SA)

The cars will be loaded in 45-foot containers on to a ship one week before Christmas in the Rotterdam harbour. There will space for tools and spare parts as well in the containers. Planned arrival in Cape Town is 26.01.2006. The cars will transported directly from the ship first to Zwartkops and then to Killarney.

After the racing weekends, the cars will be transported back to Europe again in containers. The transport time will be about three to four weeks. The cars are of course insured during the transport. Ton and Ad will be on the spot and would take care that things run smoothly personally. The total cost for transport of the cars, insurance and the entry fees for both events would be 4.500,- Euro.

If you should be interested in this extraordinary offer, please contact me.

Regarding the long-distance race series (Appendix k, 3 Hours) which I am planning - “European Endurance Masters” for historic GT and Touring Cars built up to 1976 - I am negotiating mit various racing tracks and organisers at the moment.

I hope to be able to present you even before Christmas the final race calendar for the FIA-GTC-TC 2006 as well as a concrete regulation of the long-distance racing series.

Until then I remain with sporting regards

Ronny G. Bredhauer
